London Loves: Best Outdoor Dining Spots

London Loves: Best Outdoor Dining Spots

From rooftop bars to riverside restaurants, if you’re wondering where to eat in London there’s almost too many places to choose from. There’s nothing quite like being back with friends, sharing food, drinks and laughs, and these are a few of my most recent favourite places to eat outdoors in the city.

Flat Iron Square

If you’ve got friends who can never agree where to eat, this is the perfect spot. Just around the corner from London Bridge, there’s a range of restaurants and street food stalls with tastes from across the world- from South Asia to South America- and you can order from any one of them to your table in the courtyard.

Eataly

Bring a bit of Italy to London, the newly opened outdoor terrace is great for afternoons of Aperol Spritz and traditional pasta and pizza and will make you feel like you’re on holiday in Sardinia, not a stones throw from Liverpool Street station.

Circolo Popolare

From the people behind Gloria, you’ll definitely have to book ahead to get a spot in their Fitzrovia terrace. From pasta served in wheels of cheese to metre long pizzas, you’ll have definitely seen the Italian dishes across Instagram at some point but the food really does live up to the hype.

Smoking Goat

Possibly East London’s most raved about Thai restaurant. The new terrace on Redchurch Street is the perfect spot for working your way through the Bangkok street-food inspired dishes.

For drinks the People’s Park Tavern in Mile End is very chilled with lots of space, Pergola on the Roof and Barrio are good for cocktails and The Angel in Bermondsey has great views of the river.

A few other spots I haven’t tried but would love to are:

  • The Nest at Treehouse
  • Dalloway Terrace restaurants
  • The Aviary London
  • The Athenian
